Visa rules for Vatican City

We haven't verified these rules yet

Visa Almanac only publishes a rule once the destination's official source confirms it. We could not confirm the rules for Vatican City on an official source yet, so we won't guess.

Where to check the official rule

• Vatican City State: Geography and access (Governorate)↗ · official site
• Italy's official visa portal, for entering Italy on the way to the Vatican (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy)↗ · official site
• EU visa policy: who needs a Schengen visa (European Commission)↗ · official site

Otherwise, check the official immigration or foreign-ministry website of Vatican City, or contact its embassy or consulate in the country where you live. Rules depend on your passport first, and sometimes on your residence permit.
