Why other lists say 57 or 59 countries
We count 21 visa-free countries and, separately, 19 that give a visa on arrival, each confirmed by the destination's own government. A visa on arrival is still a visa, so we never add it to the visa-free count. Lists that say 57, 58 or 59 may also count visas on arrival and online travel authorisations as visa-free, include territories that are not countries, or keep rules that have since changed.

How we check these rules
For each destination we read its government's own rules: the foreign or interior ministry, the immigration service or the official eVisa portal, and for the Schengen area EU Regulation 2018/1806. Every row links that source, with the date we checked it. Rules change, so confirm on the official site before you book.
